HOLMES Chapel Comprehensive School welcomed a team from the BBC for a special Bitesize Roadshow aimed to give an insight into careers and job opportunities within the creative industries.

A school spokesman said: “A large production team set up in the theatre and introductory video footage highlighted the breadth of opportunities in the creative sector available to young people, with 30,000 people employed by the BBC alone.

“Hosted by BBC Radio 1xtra presenter Nick Bright, it also featured a panel of experts with the aim of offering an inspiring insight into the routes and opportunities within these sectors that students may not have considered.

“The panel offered students advice and ideas on GCSE choices, CV writing and work experience as well as their own personal stories of success and failure as they made their way into the world of work.”
