OLIVER Valves is celebrating winning the second biggest order in the company’s 40-year history.

The business beat stiff competition to win an order worth more than £10 million for a major international EPC company based in the Middle East.

The order is for more than 1,200 Double Block and Bleed valves which are to be installed in the Arabian Gulf.

This order will run for about one year, with deliveries being gradually sent to the Middle East until completion in February 2021.

Richard Bedford, sales director at Oliver Valves, said: “This award is the culmination of months of hard work from the sales, engineering, purchasing and finance teams, and I would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and hard work.”

Colm Kane, managing director of the Oliver Family of Companies, said: “The motto at Oliver’s of ‘it can be done’ runs true within every department in the organisation, and an order this big shows ‘it can be done’.

“With more than 350 employees, 100 of who have each given over 10 years’ service, and three reaching 35 years this year, shows how loyal and committed the team is to making their business a success.”

He added that the order supported the company’s growth strategy as it headed for a 40 per cent increase in business compared with last year’s financial figures.
