KING Street in Knutsford is to be home to Susie Watson Designs’ second store in the north of England.

Susie Watson is the owner and managing director of a business she launched in Marlborough 20 years ago.

The Knutsford store will be her 10th, and the second in the north, alongside Harrogate.

Susie has been looking at Knutsford for some time as part of her expansion plans, and is due to open at 44 King Street at the end of March.

She said: “I founded Susie Watson Designs in the belief that a thing of beauty is a joy forever, and the desire to create classic designs that stand the test of time.

“My collections are made for kitchen living and modern family life with a look that is warm and welcoming, yet stylish.

“My influences come from the palette of the English countryside and my travels; this combination makes for unique, interesting designs with a quintessentially English feel.

Knutsford Guardian:

“All our products have been handmade by a team of highly-skilled individuals, and are handmade from start to finish; the things they produce are genuinely works of art.

“I have a deep-rooted belief in Fairtrade, and we strive to produce products at a price that is fair to the manufacturer and to our customers.

“As part of a strategy to expand our network of stores Knutsford has been on my radar for some time.

“Not only voted the best place to live in the north west of England by the Sunday Times Best Places to Live, it is only an hour from Manchester city centre and easily accessible from Cheshire, Liverpool and north Wales.

“The town has a real buzz about it, with great shopping and restaurants and good transport links – all the things I look for in a town.

“Our store is centrally located in a busy section of King Street, with lots of airy, open-plan space to showcase our living, dining and bedroom spaces, as well as our broad selection of home accessories.”
