POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of surveying equipment from a van in Handforth.

A white Peugeot van was broken into near the Handforth Bypass between 4.45pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday, February 11, and surveying equipment – a Trimble S6 Robotic Total Station and a Trimble R8 GNSS - were taken.

PC Mark Stringer said: “The equipment taken is worth a considerable amount of money.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered the equipment following the break-in or perhaps may have seen the equipment for sale to get in touch with Macclesfield LPU."
