THE world of work was brought to life for Knutsford Academy students who attended a careers fair hosted at the school.
The event featured more than 35 exhibitors, which included local businesses such as Willows Veterinary Group, through to global businesses including Bentley, Airbus and BT.
In addition there were several colleges, universities and employment support services offering advice.
More than 1,000 students and parents visited during the day, enabling students to understand the range of options available to them when they leave school after their GCSEs or A Levels.
Jaydeen Pickford, careers manager for the Academy said: “We were absolutely delighted with the success of the event.
“It was a great opportunity for our students to explore and understand what is available whether that be an apprenticeship or going to university.
“To welcome 35 exhibitors to the Academy was fantastic; it was especially pleasing to see a number of former students among the exhibitors.
“It is really important we build strong relationships with the business community, who provide invaluable help and support to our students and at the same time can look to recruit future employees.”
