JOGGERS are invited to lace up their trainers to support Mid-Cheshire Riding for the Disabled.

The organisation is the charity being supported by the Rotary Club of Knutsford at its 2020 Knutsford Jog.

The popular annual event takes place on Sunday, March 15, and is open at 9.30am for late registrants. The Jog starts at 10.30am, finishing at 11.30am.

The event starts in the Moor car park, and people are invited to jog around the park for as many laps as they can do in one hour.

Knutsford Guardian:

The course is 750 metres long, with young children usually managing three laps and adults about 15. People are encouraged to start the first few laps slowly to maximise the distance they can run, and to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

A club spokesman said: “Get your relatives, friends, family or anyone else to sponsor you to jog around Moor Park for an hour on a Sunday morning to raise money for charity.

“We give more money to the charities than we get from the Jog itself because we are supported by a wonderful group of companies and organisations who give us lots of help.

“In 2019 we gave £4,000 to local charities. In 2017, nearly £8,000 was given to charities. Thanks to the ‘Beast from the East’ we received only £3,000 in 2018.”
