PARTNERS John-Paul Jeffs and Samuel George Jeffs are inviting people to the opening of a new Knutsford business showcasing handmade gifts made in Cheshire.

Cheshire Quality is set to open at 11am on Saturday, February 29, in King Street, in premises which were home to a wedding dress business.

John-Paul, 35, worked in sales and marketing, and Samuel, 34, is a superyacht captain.

“My husband and I are opening a new store supporting Cheshire artisan talent,” said John-Paul.

“It will offer artisan products and hand-made goods made in Cheshire, high quality bespoke gifts, homewares and artisan food.

“After spending many years travelling, in our hearts Cheshire was always home. Our passion for buying handmade goods opened our eyes to the eclectic mix of artisans within the area who provide the highest quality bespoke gifts, homewares and delicious artisan food.

“While shopping for ourselves it became apparent that the Cheshire area has so much to offer, but in an increasingly competitive market producers of handmade goods still face an uphill struggle to get their artisan products in front of potential customers.

“Whilst the growing trend of Artisan and Makers markets has been a stepping stone for some, the ability to gain a stall at one of these events is becoming increasingly difficult.

“So Cheshire Quality was born. Working in partnership with Cheshire-based artisans, Cheshire Quality is able to offer a unique collection of Cheshire hand-made gifts and food produce in one place.

“We are working with about 30 producers, and are very excited about opening the business. We love Knutsford, and word of mouth support has been fantastic - everyone’s talking about it.”

Craft workshops are also proposed at the business, and John-Paul thanked town centre officer Sandra Curties for her help.

Sandra said: "It was lovely chatting to the owners of Cheshire Quality and helping in a small way to find the perfect location for their enterprise.

"I am sure the businesses and residents of Knutsford will give them a warm welcome."
