TATTON MP Esther McVey has been removed from the Government in today’s cabinet reshuffle.
Ms McVey was appointed as housing minister by Prime Minster Boris Johnson last July, following his election into the role by Conservative members.
But in his first cabinet reshuffle since last December’s General Election, he has removed Ms McVey from the role
In a post on Twitter, she said: “I’m very sorry to be relieved of my duties as housing minister.

Ms McVey previously served on the Government’s front bench as deputy chief whip and then work and pensions secretary under Theresa May, before resigning over the then-Brexit deal in November 2018.

She also served as employment minister from October 2013 to May 2015 while sitting as the MP for Wirral West under David Cameron’s premiership.
