CHILDREN at a Widnes school jetted off to visit their partner establishment in Tenerife.
Twenty one youngsters at St Gerard's Catholic Primary and Nursery School made the trip to 'broaden the horizons for their children'.
Head teacher Mr Landrum said: "What an amazing experience for us all.
"I was, as to be expected, a bit apprehensive about taking 21 children abroad however I was immensely proud of each and everyone of them.
"We had a fantastic time; we experienced the local culture, food, sights and of course spent time in our link school 'Miguel Pintor' finding out what is was like to go to school in Tenerife.
"The whole visit was inspiring and created many memories for the children to treasure forever.
"My thanks must go to all who were involved in arranging the trip and for supporting us all throughout the visit. This includes the wonderful support from parents who, without this, the visit would not be able to happen."
