LADIES ‘went wild’ for The Wavertones as they danced the night away at The Courthouse in Knutsford.
The Black, White and Sparkles Ladies Night was enjoyed by 250 women and raised £7,308 for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the British Heart Foundation.
The annual event is organised by mums Nina Eastwood and Sian Rourke, who became friends following their sons’ diagnosis of the same congenital heart defect, to celebrate the anniversaries of their boys’ successful surgeries.

Nina said: “Our previous event raised just over £5,000, so we are really pleased with £7,308 this year, and overwhelmed to have raised £28,800 in seven years through various events. We never dreamed we would raise so much.
“We had 250 ladies attend this year, and the evening had a magician doing sleight of hand magic and some stalls - Body Shop, Lavish gifts and Carla Gilder fitness, who had designed T-shirts to sell for the fundraiser.
“We had amazing raffle and auction prizes, including photoshoots, a children’s teepee sleepover party, a designer handbag, a signed Manchester City shirt and a Eurocamp holiday.

“We also included a short video about us and our boys Ted and Luca, plus a DJ and local band The Wavertones, which the crowd went wild for.
“We'd like to thank our event sponsors, Carla Gilder fitness, Eurocamp, The Wavertones and Lavish gifts, Whitrigg Photography for being the photographer for the night and local businesses for donating such wonderful prizes.
“The event was a perfect way to celebrate the anniversaries of our sons’ surgeries at the end of January and beginning of February. Luca celebrated his 8th Happy Heart Day on Monday.”

The Wavertones said: “We approached Nina when we heard about the event, primarily because it was a great opportunity for us to support two very good causes, and secondly because we are local - our singer lives in Knutsford, and the rest of the band are from Wilmslow and Chester.
“It was incredible to see so many local mums, sisters and daughters partying together like that, and we were blown away by the response - those girls can sing!
“We glammed it up a bit with some token sequins and sunglasses, and hope we did enough to be invited back next year.”
