A FORMER pub in Risley will be converted into office space after plans submitted to Warrington Council were approved.

The Noggin Inn, on Warrington Road, closed in April 2018 and has been vacant since.

But new plans for the 588 square metre site submitted by property developer St Modwen propose to split the building into four suites and retain the 80 space car park.

In its design and access statement on the council’s planning website, St Modwen state the pub will be ‘stripped out’ internally to create an open plan office space.

Warrington Guardian:

The pub before it closed

Residents agreed with one saying it was better than being ‘left to decay’.

Arranged over two floors, three suites will be created on the ground floor and one on the first floor.

Access to the property will remain from the front main entrance and an additional entrance at the back.

Floor space will be levelled where necessary.
