"We are so grateful to all who came and hope to get even more uptake next time. The Parkway is used by so many people."

The next litter pick will be held on Sunday, April 26.

The Friends are also running a photography competition. The winning images will feature in a Friends of the Weaver Parkway 2021 calendar.

Karen said: "Calling all photographers of all ability. Every month we'll be asking you to post your photos of the Parkway on our Facebook page. To be in with a chance of winning you'll need the most likes. Judges will pick one of the top 10 with the most likes.

"We recommend all entries are landscape."

The deadline for this month's entries is January 31. To enter visit Friends of Weaver Valley Parkway on Facebook.
