THE A27 will be part-closed on weekday evenings for nearly a month to "address dangerous trees". 

The road between Falmer and Ashcombe Roundabout will be closed both ways between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday, until February 21.

A spokesman for Brighton and Hove City Council said: "The A27 will be closed on weekday evenings between Falmer and Ashcombe Roundabout while work takes place to address dangerous trees. 

"Full east and westbound closures will be in place between 8pm an 6am from Monday, January 27, until Friday, February 21. 

"A diversion will be in place."
