FIREFIGHTERS attended an arson attack on a car in Padgate last night, Saturday.
At around 7.20pm, they arrived at the house on Lysander Drive and saw the car was well alight on the driveway.
The fire is thought to have been started deliberately and the police have been informed.
Crews were also called to a property in Stockton Heath to reports of a smoke-logged room.
One fire engine attended the home on Grappenhall Road shortly after 3pm.
The firefighters used a large fan to disperse smoke and removed wood from the log burner.
They then checked for any signs of hotspots.
