EIGHT men have been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies at convenience stores across the north west, including one at the Co-op in Mobberley.

Daniel Adamson, 33; Christopher Burke, 24; Michael Burke, 38; Connor Kedie, 21; Michael Kedie, 28; Robert Lewis, 45; Anthony Watson, 32; and Jack Yarwood, 34, were arrested following a joint investigation by Cheshire Police and Greater Manchester Police.

The men, all from the Greater Manchester area, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

The charges relate to 29 armed robberies, including six in Cheshire, which took place between May 12 and November 21.

They included incidents in Lymm, Warrington, Macclesfield and Mobberley.

All eight men have been remanded in custody, and are next due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday, February 12.

The six robberies in Cheshire included four at Co-ops, one being the store in Town Lane, Mobberley, on August 11.
