DETECTIVES investigating a serious assault in Wilmslow are urging witnesses to come forward.
At 2.30am on Saturday, December 7 a 22-year-old man from Stockport was attacked by four men on Hoopers car park on Alderley Road.
The attack then continued into the alleyway between the Revolutions bar and Oliver’s Club, with one of the men armed with a wooden pallet.
Following the assault the victim went to Stepping Hill Hospital the next day suffering from serious facial injuries.
Detective Constable Daniel Lawton said: “This was a nasty assault involving a number of men who left the victim with serious injuries.
“I believe there will be people out there who may have witnessed this take place or have information on who was responsible.
“I want to take this opportunity to encourage them to come forward and report it and help with the investigation.”
