Seven "celebrity dogs" have had a lucky escape after being rescued from a burning bungalow.
The pedigree Newfoundlands are now being treated by vets after a blaze ripped through their home on Leigh Road, Eastleigh.
According to owner David Lamb, his animals have appeared on the reality TV show Celebrity Showmance as well as featuring in dance competitions at Crufts.
Monty, Celeste, Blue, Remy, Woody, Swift and Rafferty were all saved from the blaze which broke out at around 5pm last night.
Two of the pets were later treated for burns to their heads and spines.
David, wife, Susan and son Esmond were taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service while police closed Leigh Road at its junctions with Bournemouth Road and Chalvington Road.
More than thirty firefighters were called to the fire with crews from Eastleigh, Winchester, St Mary’s and Redbridge alongside support vehicles from other stations and an aerial ladder platform.
Firefighters used 12 sets of breathing apparatus, three jets and three hose reel jets to battle the blaze after receiving the emergency call at around 5pm.
The roof and the ground floor of the house suffered 75% fire damage as well as extensive smoke damage.
The stop message came in at 8.18pm.
Fire investigators have been on the scene today probing the cause of the fire.
