AN EVENING of music being held in Kendal will raise vital funds for the homeless.

Proceeds from the event at Ruskins Bar on Saturday will go to Manna House, a Kendal-based charity which supports the homeless and vulnerable.

Four local bands playing a variety of styles - from contemporary folk to Americana - will entertain visitors, and there will also be a raffle.

Donations of warm clothing and towels for Manna House service-users will also be welcomed on the night.

Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets are £8 on the door.
