PARISH councillors are celebrating success in the Cheshire Community Action Best Kept Village competition.
The village of Rostherne won the award for populations of up to 400 after being entered into the competition by Rostherne Parish Council.
This is the second success for the village in the competition following an award in 1990, and the 2019 award plaque is on show by the noticeboard in Rostherne Lane.
“We are delighted to have won the competition,” said parish councillor Reverend Philip Robinson, the vicar at St Mary’s Church, Rostherne.
“The award is a tribute to the efforts of the parish council and the residents, who have worked hard to improve and maintain the visual aspect of the village.”
