ARMED police officers have conducted a search of Sandiway this afternoon, Friday.
This was after reports were received of a man carrying a firearm on Dalefords Lane.
Guardian readers reported seeing six armed officers searching the village.
After combing the surrounding area, no trace of the man could be found.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 3.10pm on Friday, November 29, police were called after receiving reports of a man seen with a firearm on Dalefords Lane.
“Armed officers conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area and found no trace of the man.”
