SHOPPERS to Knutsford are being encouraged to take advantage of free parking in Knutsford and shop independent in December.

There are three free parking Saturdays in December, on the 7th, 14th and 21st, from 10am, in Silk Mill Street, King Street and Princess Street car parks.

Town centre manager Sandra Curties said: “Our Christmas markets may be over, but there is still so much going on in Knutsford over the festive period.

“As always, we have our independent shops and Market Hall offering a range of products and customer service you can’t get online, plus a huge range of restaurants, bars and cafes.

“The festive fun is also continuing with our late-night shopping event on Thursday, December 5, with a whopping 60 shops staying open late, entertainment and an amazing prize draw, and our Community Crib Service on Saturday, December 7.”

In addition, Knutsford Town Mayor Cllr Andrew Malloy, alongside Ian Cass of the Forum of Private Business, will be visiting Knutsford shops to judge the best-dressed Christmas window and handing out certificates and the coveted trophy on Thursday, December 12 to the top three.
