KNUTSFORD food fans will be able to enjoy Pan Asian dishes on their doorstep from next month.

Gulam Moktadir is opening Pan Asian restaurant Dabangg in King Street, in premises last home to Jack Rabbit’s American diner, and which have been vacant for about 12 months.

The restaurant will focus mainly on Indian, Thai and Japanese dishes, and will open seven days a week from midday to 11pm.

It will seat 120 people, plus another 40 in the bar area, and will employ a total of 22 kitchen and front of house staff.

“There is no Pan Asian restaurant in Knutsford or the vicinity, and Pan Asian cuisine is becoming very popular,” said Gulam, from Wilmslow.

“I am sure that Knutsford people are very into trying different cuisine, and I feel very confident about the business.”

Gulam is a qualified chef, and has worked in the restaurant industry for almost 30 years.

Dabangg is set to open on Tuesday, December 10, and Gulam is recruiting bar staff and waiters and waitresses.
