“He is an asset to Derek Gough Associates, and all the team are incredibly proud of him.

“Nick hopes to become a chartered quantity surveyor once he has completed his apprenticeship, something DGA are incredibly supportive of.

“Nick is Derek Gough Associates first apprentice, and sets a high example for not just apprentices, but his other colleagues at the business.

“DGA prides itself on its support regarding learning and expanding skills within the workplace.”

DGA was a finalist at the awards for the Business of the Year £1m+ award.

Martin added: “After being established in 1993 this is a huge achievement for the company.

“This was the first time DGA had been nominated for the award and they won bronze on the night.

“The team are set to strive even further for success in the hope it leads to a gold in next year’s ceremony.

“It was a fantastic night for the team, with Nick Wilkinson winning Apprentice of the Year.

“DGA is a co-owned, family-owned business where our team is our future, so nights like this are all the more important.”
