KNUTSFORD Town Council is reminding people not to remove road closure signs or to try to move barriers at this weekend’s Christmas Market.
A number of roads in the town centre will be closed this weekend for the market to ensure the safety of the public.
Princess Street and Silk Mill Street will be closed from 7am to 9pm on Saturday and 6am to 7pm on Sunday.
Canute Place will be closed from 7am to 9pm on Saturday, and Princess Street car park will close from mid-afternoon on Thursday, November 28, to late on Sunday to allow the fun fair to arrive and set up for the weekend.
Town clerk Adam Keppel-Green said: “We close roads for public safety during our popular events.
“Please don't remove road closure signs or attempt to move barriers because this can endanger the public who are busy enjoying the event if our road closures are not clearly marked.
“We have our free park and ride service throughout the weekend to account for the lost town centre car parking spaces.
“This runs from Booths Hall WA16 8GS for the whole event, and allows you to park for free and ride to Knutsford Bus Station.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the road closures, and hope you all come along to enjoy this wonderful festive community celebration.”
