A WOMAN whose artwork has been on display at Kendal Library is donating 25 per cent of sales to Cancer Care.
Helen Stafford, who began revisiting art after her husband John died from cancer, aged 47, in 2016, said the charity was a great support to her after his death.
She added: "Grief can be lonely and isolating even when you have a busy life.
"Imagine feeling alone for whatever reason and not having an outlet, not being able to talk to others."
The display has now ended but Mrs Stafford said artwork could be purchased after the finish date.
From today, Kendal Library is also running fortnightly sessions aimed at giving lonely people in the community a chance to have a chat, meet new friends, and maybe try a craft activity or two.
Above are some pictures of the artwork. Call Kendal Library on 01539 713520 for more.
