A POP-up restaurant is set to bring a bit of Texan flare to Windermere next week.
A third-generation pitmaster (barbecue chef) from Kendal-based Pappy's Texas BBQ will be cooking up a feast of slow-smoked meats and Texan sides between Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving) and Saturday, November 30.
Visitors will find the pop-up restaurant at Orrest Head Bar, Windermere.
As a thank-you to those who venture out on a school night on Thanksgiving, Pappy's is offering everyone a free dessert with their smokehouse meal.
On the Saturday night, Annie Perris, granddaughter of the original 'Pappy' back in Texas, is playing indie-soul music from 7.30pm.
Booking for the pop-up restaurant is essential. Visit pappysthanksgiving.eventbrite.co.uk for more.
