A CAREERS and skills fair is taking place in Kendal tomorrow.

A host of organisations from a range of different sectors are attending SkillsFest at Kendal College, from charities and voluntary services through to finance and engineering companies.

Examples of organisations which have confirmed attendance include BAE Systems, The Outward Bound Trust and Kimberley Clark.

Attendees will also have the chance to explore the facilities at the Milnthorpe Road campus and discover what opportunities are available at other colleges in the surrounding areas.

Kelvin Nash, principal at Kendal College, said: “Kendal College is proud to host the first SkillsFest for the South Lakes area.

"The event will bring together a number of high profile employers, support agencies and voluntary organisations, and put them in touch with a pool of people that could become their employees of the future.

"It is promising to be a great day, and I look forward to welcoming you there.”

People of all ages are invited to go along to the event, taking place from 10am-3pm.

Visit www.skillsfest.co.uk for more information and to see some more examples of employers and training providers which will be attending.
