THE life of a much loved and respected man who had "an impact on so many" was celebrated.
Michael Lindley passed away at Willowbrook Hospice, aged 63, following a battle with a brain tumour.

Michael, who lived in Dentons Green with wife Lynn Gerrard, was a much-loved man in the community.
He was a music-lover who hosted programme Brian's Indie Show for Radio KC live to support unsigned indie musical artists and was also known for his regular fundraising for the homeless and mental health awareness.
Michael's coffin was carried into St Helens Crematorium to the song You Saw the Whole Of the Moon.

Celebrant Tony Mather said how the service would reflect on Michael's "uniqueness and special qualities".
Originally from Fife in Scotland, it was said how Michael had "adopted St Helens as his home".
In tributes to Michael, his kindness and determination to help others was outlined and how, even during his illness, his concern was "he was restricted that he couldn't do more for others".
It was said how he inspired wife Lynn, a well-known poet in the town, to write and did fundraising for "a variety of charities for the homeless and mental health awareness through music and art events".

His "passion for music" led him to launching his radio show so that indie musicians would be "recognised and appreciated".
It was said how he "did all this for no personal gratification" and how after his diagnosis he even broadcast his radio show from his hospital bed.
"Michael always cared for people, not for pennies", it was added.

After a moment's silence, a version of Chasing Cars was played before a tearful tribute from wife Lynn, who said how Michael brought to her life "one of the most exquisite treasures anyone could ever hope to receive and that is tenderness" and "to have known such unconditional love as Michael had given me."
The service concluded to The Ace of Spades before a wake continued the celebration at the Abbey Hotel.
