HUNDREDS gathered in Winchester to take part in the city's annual Remembrance Sunday service.
Members of the Armed Forces and veterans joined youngsters from the Scouting movement and the public for the commemorations at the Cathedral.
The sound of The Last Post played out before the grounds around the historic building fell silent to remember those who fought for the country.
Wreaths were laid in front of the war memorial by civic dignitaries, service personnel, along with representatives from local organisations.
The commemorations were a chance for people to remember those who have lost their lives in conflict since First World War.
And on Armistice Day a two minute silence was held at the Guildhall.
The armistice was signed on November 11, 1918. It was a document that marked the end of four years of fighting during the First World War.
