THE Welcome manager Sarah Riley will be sleeping out at Manchester Cathedral this Friday with her friends to support the homeless.

Sarah and five friends will be taking part in The Manchester Sleepout in aid of The Booth Centre, which offers advice, activities and support to homeless people in Manchester.

This will be the third time Sarah has taken part in the annual event, which runs from 9pm to 7am.

Taking part with her this year will be Aaron Miller, Abi McCafferty, Claire McCafferty, Liz Forshaw and Servane Gouda.

The event invites people to take on the challenge of sleeping out for one night to highlight some of the hardships homeless people face every night.

UPDATE: Sarah has beaten her £200 target this evening (Friday) before the event begins, and said on her justgiving page: "Thanks to everyone for your support! It makes us so grateful to have a roof over our heads. Your donation will make a real difference - you're amazing!"
