KNUTSFORD residents are invited to join the Knutsford Royal British Legion and Knutsford Town Council for services of Remembrance this Sunday, November 10.

The order and format of events has changed for 2019, with the parade beginning earlier to facilitate the 10.45am service at the Centennial War Memorial which will now form the focus of the town’s commemorations.

Please note the change in the usual timings with an earlier parade start time to allow for an 11am silence at the Centennial Memorial.

8.45am - Parade assembles at Drury Lane (Ruskin Rooms), Knutsford WA16 6HA.

9am - Parade from Drury Lane to St Johns Church.

9.30am - Remembrance Service at St Johns Church.

10.30am - Parade reassembles to march to Centennial War Memorial.

10.45am - Remembrance service and wreath laying at Centennial War Memorial.

11.20am - Parade back to Drury Lane.

11.50am - Remembrance service and wreath laying at Cross Town War Memorial.

12.30pm - Remembrance service and wreath laying at War Memorial Cottage Hospital, Northwich Road.

1.15pm - Wreath laying and prayers at the Tatton Park Parachute Regiment Memorial.

2pm - Refreshments at the council offices.

Everyone is welcome to join the wreath laying, parade and the various services to commemorate this year’s Remembrance Sunday.

Road closures will be in place for the safety of the parade along King Street, Princess Street and Tatton Street/Canute Place.

Toft Road will be closed for the parade to the centennial memorial and during the service taking place.

There will also be a road closure on Mobberley Road from 11.40am to 12.20pm for the Cross Town service.
