KNUTSFORD Photographic Society awarded its first two major trophies of the new season last week.
Knutsford photographer Trevor Hoskins took the honours against a strong field in the new ‘In Cheshire’ print competition.
Trevor’s winning entry was a stunning winter scape of Knutsford Moor (Wintry Scene).
'Mudder Trio'
In its first year this competition attracted 24 strong images. The project was inspired to challenge photographers and capture images promoting our region.
Second and third places went to John Cridland (Henbury Hall) and Margaret Lawless (Little Moreton Hall).
Another local photographer, Gordon Spruce, combined three powerful images of Tough Mudder contestants to take the annual Triptych trophy.
Judging triptychs is always challenging, said the L&CPU judge, however Gordon managed to capture the essence of the project with a creative balance of strong portraits all taken in an unusual setting.
