YOU be one of 250 Santas to run through Lymm village on one of the busiest days of the year.

The Lymm Runners Santa Dash is now an established fixture on the Lymm Dickensian Day celebration – which this year takes place on Saturday, December 14.

Now in its 6th year, the fun run creates a buzz at the start of the procession with runners able to take applause from the thousands of crowds who line the pavements each year to support this long-established event.

Entry is open to fun runners aged 10 and above capable of completing the 5km course.

The start at 1pm is outside Brookfield Surgery on the canal bridge and runners off the main Dickensian Day procession down Eagle Brow

Warrington Guardian:

Chrissie Horgan, from Lymm Runners, said: "It is a fun run rather than a 'race' so runners are encouraged to jog down Eagle Brow and through the village to really take-in and enjoy the special atmosphere for a unique run experience."

There will be a free park and ride on a vintage bus from the High School from10am to about 5pm.

Entrants will be given a special Santa suit as part of the entry fee so everyone will be dressed for the occasion.

The 5km run goes through the village to the Trans Pennine Trail to Heatley and back along Reddish Lane. The finish line is at Sow Brook where runners will receive a finishers souvenir.
