TWO roads in Comberbach are set to close next week for five days to allow Cheshire West and Chester Council to carry out resurfacing work.

From Monday, October 28, both The Avenue and an adjoining section of Gibb Hill will be closed to vehicles except those requiring access and emergency services.

A public notice issued by Cheshire West and Chester Council reads: “The closure will come into force on Monday, October 28 and will be in force for a maximum of five days.

“A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use alternative routes.

“It is anticipated that the work will last for approximately five days.”

A diversion will be in place which will see traffic avoid the resurfacing work by using Budworth Lane and Warrington Road.
