THIS photograph taken around 1930 in Sutton has been sent in by Star reader Suzanne Quarri.
She has no idea why the men are gathered, but recognises her granddad Joseph Kay and her friends granddad John Bluck.
Some of the men are wearing rosettes.
She said: “We have no idea what the event was or why some of them are apparently wearing rosettes.
“We thought maybe the rosette wearers could be winners in a bowling competition?
“Would love to know if any of your readers could shed any light?”
