EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a two-car crash in Newton-le-Willows this morning (Wednesday, October 16).
A Vauxhall and a Volkswagen were involved in the collision on Ashton Road shortly after 8am.

Residents have reported seeing police and ambulance near to Hope Academy School, earlier today, with the crash believed to have taken place on the road, close to the rehabilitation centre.
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said that "minor injuries" were sustained in the crash.
She said: "We got the call before 8.20am to a two-car road traffic collision involving a Volkswagen and a Vauxhall.
"All people were out of the vehicles when we got there.
"There were minor injuries sustained. The vehicles have been removed to the side of the road and congestion should be easing off."
A North West Ambulance spokeswoman added: "We were called at 8.08am and we attended with an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.
"Nobody was taken to hospital."
