KNUTSFORD mum Julie Whelan is inviting children to make it snappy if they want to have some photographic fun over the October half-term.
Julie is running Kids with Cameras, workshops for children aged eight to 13.
The workshops, taking place on October 26, 29 and 30, will be Halloween and autumn-themed and allow children to explore their creativity using a camera and taking photographs.
The two-hour long classes will also teach life skills such as team-building and creative thinking as well as instilling confidence in the children.
Julie, a part-time assistant at Bexton Primary School, is a professional photographer who specialises in family, children and pet portraits as well as event photography and professional headshots.
Julie said: “I’ve had so many children show an interest in coming along to my photography classes that I run during term-time, and during these longer workshops the children will be able to learn more about photography and have fun with the ‘Halloween’ theme.”
Kids with Cameras was launched a few years ago after Julie found that children had a natural curiosity for taking photographs and learning about the world through the eye of a camera lens.
Kids with Cameras runs a weekly term-time class at Bexton Primary School.
The workshops are open to all children aged eight to 13, regardless of past experience. The cost is £20 per child, and £25 if they need to borrow a camera.
