TATTON Park’s award-winning business support team has been praised as ‘unsung heroes’.

The praise follows the team’s success at the Marketing Cheshire Annual Tourism Awards, where it won the Team of the Year accolade.

Carole Mullineux, Tatton Park’s business development manager, said: “Tatton Park’s Business Support Team are the unsung heroes who enable Tatton Park to open its doors to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for about 800,000 visitors every year.

“They deliver behind-the-scenes business-critical processes and systems, maintain buildings and machinery, provide admin support and customer service to visitors, staff and volunteers, all delivered with a smile.

“They just get on with the job, responding to a huge range of requests on a daily basis to help out wherever they can.”

Tatton Park is managed and financed by Cheshire East Council on behalf of the National Trust.

The award winners were announced at a ceremony at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford hosted by TV presenter Lucy Nicholls.

The awards recognise excellence and outstanding achievement by local businesses and individuals working in Cheshire’s visitor economy, which is worth £3.5 billion.
