Lymm rider Sean Neary has finished third in the Ducati Performance TriOptions Cup.

He recorded a third place in the first race and went on to finish fifth in race two during the final weekend at Donington Park.

FOOTBALL:

Rylands Ladies maintained their 100 percent record in the Premier league with a fantastic 7-1 home win against Chester.

A brace from leading goal scorer Mollie Bennett, a double from Ellie Anderson and an 18-yard screamer from Charlie Hampton put the ladies 5-1 up at half time.

Then in the second half goals from Mollie Clarke and Carla Burton completed the scoring.

Captain Annabel Procter was the player of the match, winning everything in midfield.

Next game is in the county cup on Saturday at home against Formby, kick off 2pm.

BOWLS: Eagle B have won the Warrington Seniors Bowling Association 20 Club Competition at Padgate Tennis and Bowls Club.

Results Semi-finals: St Oswalds 51 Tetley A 56, Crosfields A 55 Eagle B 61. Final: Tetley A 47 Eagle B 54.

CYCLING: Sebastian Grindley of North Cheshire Clarion Cycling Club won round two of the HSBC British Cycling National Cyclocross Trophy at Westmorland County Showground in Milnethorpe.

Seb now leads the under 14s series with four rounds left to race.

FOOTBALL: Two second-half stunners from Lee Boardman handed Eagle Sports Reserves their third win in successive Cheshire League matches.

They trailed 1-0 at the break to an organised Poynton FC Reserves side.

The visitors’ woodwork was shaking as efforts from Boardman and then Ed Shaw both hit the frame of the goal, and Poynton also hit the home side’s post.

A cross by Shaw found Boardman, who controlled and volleyed over the Poynton keeper to level the game. Boardman curled the winner into the top corner with five minutes to go.
