A TREE has planted in Woolston in order to mark the 100th birthday of the Cheshire Federation of Women’s Institutes.
The Woolston and District WI has planted the crab apple tree in the Jubilee Garden at Woolston Park in order to mark the centenary.
First set up in 1920, the Cheshire WI will mark this milestone next year.
And the tree was erected in partnership with the Friends of Woolston Park.
A whole host of events are planned across the county to mark the Cheshire WI’s 100th anniversary.
