FIVE Northwich businesses were crowned winners at this year’s Marketing Cheshire Annual Tourism Awards.

In its fifteenth year, the awards recognise excellence and outstanding achievement by local businesses and individuals working in Cheshire’s visitor economy, which is now worth over £3.5 billion.

The winners were revealed during a glittering awards ceremony held at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa in Knutsford and hosted by TV presenter Lucy Nicholls.

And the 300 guests in attendance saw Northwich businesses walk away with a number of top awards.

The prestigious Experience of the Year award went to Anderton Boat Lift and Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year was won by Blackmere Touring Park.

The Hollies Forest Lodges walked away from the awards ceremony as Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year winner, while Pub of the Year went to The Fishpool Inn.

Cheshire Woodland Weddings was also among the winners, being crowned Wedding Venue of the Year.
