MID Cheshire’s ‘biggest and best’ bonfire and firework festival is to return to Northwich next month.

Firefest 2019, which will take place in Verdin Park, promises to be a great spectacle for all the family, featuring plenty of fireworks, fun activities, food and drink.

Joint organisers Northwich Rotary Club and Northwich Round Table say that this that this year's festival will be bigger and better than ever.

And it is hard to disagree with over £6,000 worth of fireworks going up in smoke.

“Whilst the emphasis is on fun and creating a great spectacle, it is also important to recognise that Firefest is organised by a team of dedicated volunteers and that every penny of profit will go to local charities,” said Pete Leigh of Northwich Round Table.

Rupert Adams, of Northwich Rotary Club, added: “Firefest is a great way to enjoy fireworks in a safe environment and it promises to be a brilliant event.”

Firefest 2019 will take place in Verdin Park on Saturday, November 2.

Gates will open at 5:30pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6:30pm and the firework display at 7:15pm.

Tickets will cost £5 per adult, £2.50 per child or free for infants under the age of two.
