WILMSLOW mum Alexandra Clinton is hoping to see as many mums as possible at a goodbye party for the Awesome Mums’ Brunch Club.

Alexandra suffered severe post-natal anxiety when her daughter Roxy was born, and started the club three years ago to help reduce the stigma around perinatal mental health.

The club meets for the last time on Thursday after Alexandra decided to call it a day because of the demands of a job and looking after Roxy.

Mums are invited to meet up at The Unico Lounge in Grove Street, Wilmslow, from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Alexandra said: “It’s a drop-in event, so people can attend whenever, for as little or as long as they like. It’s £2 entry, and you get unlimited free cuppas, cakes, biscuits and complimentary massages from a lovely local lady who runs Home of Holistics.

“We have a raffle with loads of prizes from vouchers for haircuts, to personalised crafts, access to Head Over Heels, passes to 8by8 preschool Football classes, loads of other stuff and Rhyme time as always.

“It’s going to be the last event as I simply cannot keep running it with the demands of a job and a pre-schooler.

“We’ve been going for three years and still fully support our original message to reduce isolation amongst mums and the stigma around perinatal mental health issues.”

All money raised at Thursday’s event will go to Smile Group, a Cheshire-based registered charity providing support for mums with perinatal mental health difficulties.
