MORE than 100 people took part in a cycle ride from Kendal to Staveley and back.

The event was organised by Kendal Cycle Club in conjunction with Kendal Wheels for All - an initiative getting people with disabilities and differing needs engaging in cycling activities.

The 122-strong group included children as young as five, who rode confidently along with their parents. There were also a number of people on adapted bikes, and all money raised through the event was donated to Kendal Wheels for All.

Thanks were given to Mapdec Cycle Works, which hosted the start of the cycle, and Wheelbase, which ran the cake and sweet station at the halfway point.
