A CHILD had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in gym equipment in Widnes.
One fire engine was dispatched to the incident in Victoria Park from Widnes Fire Station at approximately 2.25pm this afternoon, Saturday.
On arrival, the crew found a young boy with his arm stuck in a metal pole which was part of an outdoor gym.
Firefighters released the boy and he was passed into the care of his parents.
He did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.
