A RESTAURANT specialising in healthy food is set to open in the former Chilli Banana premises this autumn.

The Chilli Banana closed its King Street Thai restaurant last month after two years in the town, and the premises are due to become the King Street Kitchen.

Property consultancy Fisher German recently completed the leasing of the former Thai restaurant at 84 King Street.

Hugh Platt, Associate Director at Fisher German’s Knutsford office, said: “Blue Sky Foods Ltd is now the tenant of the unit, and is planning on turning it into King Street Kitchen, a restaurant specialising in healthy food. It is hoped the restaurant will open in the autumn.

“Plenty of buyers and tenants are very interested in buying or leasing commercial property in Knutsford, which is fantastic for the local economy.

The vacant premises

“It’s great to have helped Blue Sky Foods agree a deal to move into the former Chilli Banana restaurant on King Street – I’m sure many people in Knutsford will be looking forward to trying the food at King Street Kitchen.

“In addition the other deals we are negotiating are also close to completion, so Knutsford will be home to many more new businesses in the near future.

“We’re very happy to be playing a part in encouraging buyers and tenants to come to Knutsford and to help the town thrive.”

Fisher German is negotiating eight deals based around King Street, Canute Place and Red Cow Yard, on behalf of its client Monckton Properties Ltd, part of the Tatton Estate.
