CYCLING civic leader Cllr Andrew Malloy stopped off at Sunrise of Mobberley on Saturday to receive a cheque for £250.
Cllr Malloy and fellow cyclists were taking part in a tour of Cheshire East to raise money for his mayoral charities, to set up a starter funds for a new skate park for Knutsford youngsters and for youth sports clubs.
Cllr Malloy, the Knutsford mayor, called at Sunrise of Mobberley at 8.20am, where he was greeted by residents and members of the Sunrise team to cheer him on his journey.
Dawn Williams, director of community relations at Sunrise of Mobberley, presented the cheque to the mayor.
She said: “Sunrise is proud to be supporting this cause - it is hugely important that children and young people can use time outside.
“We love to get behind local causes and initiatives and wish the mayor all the best - we have no doubt he will reach his target.”
