PASSENGERS will soon be able to fly to the Slovenian capital city of Ljubljana from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA).

Slovenian airline Adria Airways will commence their flights on May 20, 2020 with them operating on Saturdays and Wednesdays with a 86 seat CRJ900 aircraft.

Flights will continue throughout the summer months until October 24, 2020.

The airline is the fourth new airline to announce operations from Liverpool and will offer the only direct service to the Slovenian capital in Northern England.

Director of Aviation Development for LJLA, Paul Winfield said: “We are delighted to welcome our latest carrier, Adria Airways to Liverpool.

"Adria will continue to serve the North West market, with an enhanced product, from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

"This will enable passengers from across the North of England to continue to travel to Ljubljana from the Faster.Easier.Friendlier Airport in the North West."
