OVERNIGHT roadworks between the Tata Lostock Works and Broken Cross will begin tomorrow, Friday.

Cheshire West and Chester Council is carrying out road resurfacing works in Griffiths Road, from the Tata entrance to the Middlewich Road/Penny's Lane junction.

The scheme will need a full road closure on various days over a two-week period, but will be carried out at night between 7pm and 6am.

Cllr Karen Shore, CWAC cabinet member for highways, said: “These works are part of our Highways capital improvement programme and could change if we experience bad weather.

"Signed diversions and illuminated ‘Visual Message Signs’ will be in place which will be revised as needed to keep motorists fully informed.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works and our Highways teams are doing all they can to reduce the impact for motorists.”
