WITH one week left until nominations for the Warrington Guardian Inspiration Awards close, there is still just enough time to have your say.

The awards are returning for a seventh year on November 14 to celebrate some of the town’s unsung heroes.

A glittering awards ceremony will take place at the Village Hotel to say thank you to those who make a difference to Warrington and its residents.

From charity champions to hospital heroes, we have been inundated with deserving nominees all going above and beyond to help make our town a better place.

Last year our judges faced the difficult task of having to select the winners from a growing list of nominations and this year is set to be no easier.

Now we are giving you one last chance to tell us about the people who contribute to the community across a variety of different sectors, including sports teams, charities, teaching and healthcare.

Alongside our Inspiration Award categories for 2019 is the Good Neighbour award.

This new category is to celebrate the people or carers who help those in their neighbourhood with kindness and compassion.

Another category for this year is our Outstanding Bravery award which recognises members of the public or emergency services who have displayed immense courage, either in their own lives, or by saving someone else’s.

Warrington Guardian editor Hayley Smith said: “We welcome entries from all walks of life so if you know someone who you believe deserves recognition for their hard work and dedication then please get in touch.

“All nominations received will be carefully considered so if you’re thinking about nominating someone please do so, it could make all the difference.”

The closing date for entries is 5pm next Thursday, September 19.
